phontage softphone

Hi, i ask same info about this?

i have voibe (4 channel) whit 1 ip lcd phone, to use this software i need same license ( i hope yes but my vendor tell me that are included whit voibe card).
i need lanu? or simpli connect to lan where there is voibe.
How to active ?
Can i use phontage from outside the lan?
what difference between phontage and ezphone.

I wil try installing the software in another PC.
I tried a fixed IP and doesn´t work.

Is happening something strange. If I ping the VOIB IP Address (192.168.0.7) I recive response, but when I start up the phontage, stop reciving the ping response.

I will try with another PC, and let you know my success.

I used other PC.

in PGM 386 I set the MAC from the new PC.

Install the Phontage software set the ID and Password and the system IP.

But does not work.

any Idea?

You don´t need set up the MAC address for phontage, only user and password.

en l PGM 386 ya configure el usuario y el password, de hecho comentaba que tengo un telefono IP funcionando sin problema, pero es el softphone el que no he podido hacer que funcione, tengo deshabilitado el firewall de mi computadora y estoy apuntando hacia la IP de la tarjeta VOIB, ya le movi a remoto y local, ya reinicio el conmutador, ya segui los pasos para la configuracion, pero no creo que sea eso, ya que como te comento, tengo un telfono IP funcionando.

el error que me aparece es que el sistema no responde.

Pero no veo que pueda ser, las licencias no es necesario activarlas o si?, por default vienen y vienen activadas?

Ya diste de alta el phontage en el PGM 380? selecciona el canal 2 y el IP phone number: 2.
En el PGM 386 index 2 escribe el user y el password para el phontage
Las 2 licencias libres ya vienen activadas

Hi again

If the IP hardphones work as they should, then I normally just do this:
To install the IP phone, the IP phones MAC adressen should be entered. This is done in:
PGM386 IP Phone Attribute -- > Set Mac Address
And also set:
The PGM386 IP Phone Attribute -- >Outside NAT Firewall to ON.
Then it works in an ipLDK-24/50/100/300.

Actually my PC and the ipLDK60 are in the same LAN, there are just 1 or 2 switches between them.

I send you a document with the screens of the LDK PCADMIN and the Phontage.

Dear batera!
I got your message!
I have gone through your screen dump and your back-up.
You need to set-up more channels (Channel number) and more number of IP phones, or delete the IP phones, that are NOT used in PGM386.
PGM386 count from the top, so with these settings only 2 IP phones will work.
Set your password to numbers, not letters (i.e. 12345).
Set the codec to G.711.
All other programming seem to be OK.

Have you tried to restart the ipLDK-60?

If this still fails, you can set your VOIB of the ipLDK-60 to a public ip address - if you have - and I can logon from here with my Phontage. We can discuss this on mail.

Check "Trans/Prog + 78" and give me the result.
Check "Trans/Prog + 79" and give me the result.


"Trans/Prog + 79" give you access to see the softphone licenses in your ipLDK PBX.
The numbers 000/000 tell you the number of standard/deluxe softphone license, you have been bying.
The 2 free softphone licenses that go with every ipLDK and iPECS can not be seen in "Trans/Prog + 79".

IMPORTANT!!!
I got a document from MorenoT, that describes how to install a Phontage softphone to be connected to the ipLDK-60.
Follow these steps & it will work.
(The MAC address is not needed, when using Phontage, only when you use the elder LG softphone).

1.
Set the ‘User ID’ and ‘Password’ for Phontage:
[TRANS/PGM] + 386 + 02 + BTN 11 + <User ID> + [Hold/Save]
[TRANS/PGM] + 386 + 02 + BTN 12 + <Password> + [Hold/Save]
* Online PCADMIN: select RSG/IP PHONE Programming > IP
Phone Attributes. Click twice over Bin No ‘2’. Enter the login username in ID and the password in Password.
2.
Follow these steps for Phontage configuration:
1. Open the Phontage application.
2. Click the ‘Network’ button.
3. Click the ‘Add New Profile’ button and configure with:
- Profile Name.
- Set ‘Remote’ option,
- System IP (VOIB IP address).
4. Configure the ‘User ID’ and ‘Password’ according to Keyset Admin programming.
5.Click the ‘Login’ button.

Now it should work.

So the difference is that using the elder Softphone, you need to enter the MAC addres, but with the Phontage this is not needed anymore.
