Hi, i ask same info about this?

i have voibe (4 channel) whit 1 ip lcd phone, to use this software i need same license ( i hope yes but my vendor tell me that are included whit voibe card).
i need lanu? or simpli connect to lan where there is voibe.
How to active ?
Can i use phontage from outside the lan?
what difference between phontage and ezphone.

Hi Goldrake,

Ez-Phone it's an CTI application which provided by LGN. To use it you should have enable both TAPI and EZ-Phone lockkey.
Phonetage it's an advance IP softphone to use you should have VOIB and Softphone lockkey. The number of softphone ot's depending to the number of license. The procedure to install it's same as an desktop IP phone.

Ohtapa ^_^

Hi Goldrake

I just repeat myself, but...
I think that you have to invest too much money to obtain the BLF funtionality just for one ip phone.
With the ipLDK-100 it is needed to have one PC with the BLF manager program running, and one LANU board.

You can see the number of licenses activated in your ipLDK-100, by pressing "Trans/Prog" + 78.
To see the number of ip soft phones activated press "Trans/Prog" + 79. (Standard/Deluxe softphones).

The licenses are listed by a number(#).
1. QSIG over PRIB (tieline) has license #0.
2. PC Attendant console has license #1.
3. CTI Application supporting TAPI 2.1 has license #2.
4. VOIP networking with VOIB/VOIBE has license #5.
5. PC Phone (ezPhone) to control your keyset has lic#6.
6. IP Soft Phone (Phontage?)has license #9.

For IP Soft Phone the number of activated users is seen in "Trans/Prog" + 79.

Hi again

The first post was general LG license knowledge.
Now we can go to your questions.

Q:
I have voibe (4 channel) whit 1 ip lcd phone, to use this software i need same license ( i hope yes but my vendor tell me that are included whit voibe card).

A:
Your LG-Nortel IP phone has the license included to be used as a remote or local ip phone.
Soft phones need a license!

Q:
Do I need LANU? or simpli connect to lan where there is voibe.
How to active ?
A:
Hard- and soft - ip- phones connect throuh the VOIB/VOIBE.
LANU is not needed. LANU is for programming and BLF.
See my post for programming IP phones - here in this forum.

Q:
Can I use phontage from outside the LAN?
A:
Yes, some port need to be opened in the firewall/router.

Q:
What difference between phontage and ezphone.
A:
Phontage is the LG-Nortel IP softphone for ipLDK and iPECS.
ezPhone is kind of softphone to control your LG-Nortel keyset (LKD and LDP type). Your PC controls your 2 wire keyset (Not IP phone).

NOTE:
iPLDK 60 has 2 free licenses of softphone

You are right, I forgot.
I hope that will have a nice weekend!

Anyway, the free 2 licenses go for all ipLDK and iPECS systems.

Hi goldrake

"Trans/Prog + 78" give you access to see the system licenses in your ipLDK PBX:

The licenses are listed by a number(#).
1. QSIG over PRIB (tieline) has license #0.
2. PC Attendant console has license #1.
3. CTI Application supporting TAPI 2.1 has license #2.
4. VOIP networking with VOIB/VOIBE has license #5.
5. PC Phone (ezPhone) to control your keyset has lic#6.
6. IP Soft Phone (Phontage?)has license #9.

"Trans/Prog + 79" give you access to see the softphone licenses in your ipLDK PBX.
The numbers 000/000 tell you the number of standard/deluxe softphone license, you have been bying.
The 2 free softphone licenses that go with every ipLDK and iPECS can not be seeb in "Trans/Prog + 79".
Free of charge: Connect 2 softphones and as many LIP-7024 hardphones as the ipLDK system allows.
Hardphones are not using licenses.

///doktor

Because you have a VOIB ( 4 ch) you have 4 resources for VOIP Trunks and/or IP Phones.
ipLDK has 2 free licenses for PHONTAGE,if you want more, you need licenses.
If you have only IP Phones you can connect max 4 ( 2 hardphone + 2 softphone.
TRANS/PGM 78 shows serial ID of ipLDK AND What kind of licenses you have instaled

hi morenot
you speak about Voip Trunks ? so for example ( is not for me because i use fritz as gateway) i can set i voip sip provider? how i can?

Hi doktor
if i pres prg+78 the system tel me something as:
Key 030d.................
pck: ...3................
What is pck

i dont understand how use #1 #2 , i must digit it? where in prg 79 ?

goldrake!

The licenses are listed by a number sign.
The number sign is #.

License 3 is for the second cabinet of the ipLDK-100.

So the full list is now:

Trans/Prog + 78" give you access to see the system licenses in your ipLDK PBX:

The licenses are listed by a number:
1. QSIG over PRIB (tieline) has license number 0.
2. PC Attendant console has license number 1.
3. CTI Application supporting TAPI 2.1 has license number 2.
4. VOIP networking with VOIB/VOIBE has license number 5.
5. PC Phone (ezPhone) to control your keyset has lic num.6.
6. IP Soft Phone (Phontage?)has license number 9.
7. Second Cabinet of the ipLDK-100 has license number 3.

You need license 5 to be able to use the VoIP trunk facility, but with licenses installed, you can connect as many LIP-hardphones, as your ipLDK-100 allows and the 2 free softphones.

& check this updated description:

And here you get the whole description step-by-step:

-------------------------------------------------------

Programming. Follow these steps for success...

* In PGM 101 and PGM 103 the VOIB/VOIBE should be installed in a proper SLOT.

In PGM103 you need to set thr virtual SLOT for IP phones: Virtual SLOT #99.
SLOT= 99 is the code for the virtual (i.e. non-physic) SLOT, to which IP phones will be installed.
If the "Virtual SLOT #99" is not set, the IP phones will never work.

PGM103: I fyou program from LDK PC ADMIN (LDK PC ADMIN version 3.5Af or newer),
you choose "Configuration in PGM101-103, and right click on the VOIB board,
that is shown in the ipLDK-100 cabinet.
The choose "Logical Assignment" and PGM103 is seen on your PC display.

In Board Information choose the VOIB board - and right click on the board.

Now it is possible to choose "(Virtual VOIB) Append to COL" and "(Virtual VOIB) Append to STA".

Click on both – one at a time – and there must be written 99 under COL and 99 under STA.

If "99" is NOT written down most in the COL board and STA board list, the IP phones will fail to operate.

Now the IP address data for the VOIB/VOIBE should be set:

* In PGM 340 index #1: Here is the IP address for VOIB/VOIBE board set.
* In PGM 340 index #2: Here is the default gateway IP address set. This field must be set.
* In PGM 340 index #3: Here is the subnet mask for the VOIB/VOIBE board set.
* In PGM 340 index #5: Here is the trace password for VOIB/VOIBE board set. Set to 00000000
* In PGM 340 index #6: Here is the default codec for VOIB/VOIBE board set. Set to G.711 or G.723 or ?.
* In PGM 340 index #7: Default gain = 31.
* In PGM 340 index #8: No delay is wanted. TOS = type of service. ON is chosen.
* In PGM 340 index #9: Normal throughput is requested. TOS = type of service. High is chosen.
PGM 340 index 10: Normal reliability is requested. TOS = type of service. High is chosen.

* In PGM 380 "VOIB Slot for RSG/IP Phone" you enter the SLOT number for the VOIB/VOIBE.
* In PGM 380 "RSG/IP Channel Number for IP Phone" you enter 1-8 (1-24)dependent of how
many channels on the VOIB/(VOIBE) board, you need for IP - phones (speech channels).

* In PGM381 RSG/IP Number Assign. --- IP Phone Number.
Here the number of IP phones is entered.

To install the IP phone, the IP phones MAC adressen should be entered. This is done in:
PGM386 IP Phone Attribute -- > Set Mac Address

The MAC address is seen on the label on the IP phone.

Hereafter the IP phone (e.g. LIP-24 or LIP-70xx) is registered, as written in the manual
for these phones.

Up to 64 IP phones can be registered within one ipLDK-100.

Some hints about the LIP phones:

The MFIM ip address is the ip address of VOIB!
Router IP Address will be the default gateway of the LAN network.
Phone Net Mask is your LAN's subnet mask.

Use REMOTE connection to VOIB/VOIBE for the IP phones.

Good luck.

Last check:
Do your PC have installed a firewall?
(Try to disable it...)
Or.
Try to give your Phontage PC the ip address settings of your IP hardphone - after disconnecting the hardphone , of course.
Let me know about your success.

///doktor

Hi Doktor.

My firewall is disable and my IP is assigned by DHCP, also my IP hardphone. We don´t use Static IP Address just for the servers, routers, etc.

thanks

If your hardphone works as it should, and also the ipLDK-60, then the fault should lie in your pc.
I guess that you tried pinging all ip addresses?
There should be 2 free licenses for phontage in the ipLDK-60.
Try to used fixed ip adresses!
