Phone showing as T7316 instead of T7208 3

BCM 400 - 4.0 Software

I just plugged in a T7208 phone and went to configure the set, and to my disbelief the model in Element Manager is displaying as a T7316/M7310.

Is there any way to change this, and force it to be the correct phone?

Experinced this problem a couple of times. Try unplugging the phone if you have another T7208 plug it into that port also.

I plugged in a different phone. It picked up the same extension and displayed with the write phone model.

Then I plugged in the phone I was having trouble with, and it picked up a new extension, but still shows as the wrong model number.

Is extension set relocation turned on?. It can do wierd things.

If it's working, then leave it alone!.

Set Relocation is turned on.
I'll try and turn it off and see it that helps.

I think it might be a problem with this phone. None of the others have had any problems.

I turned off Set Relocation, but that didn't seem to make any difference. Model is still showing wrong.

When you replugged in the phone that is showing the wrong model did you try it on a different port?
I have seen this with the old M series where it would show the wrong model it is like the wrong card or firmware was installed in the wrong caseing.

Yeah... I've tried 3 different ports. Everytime the phone shows the wrong model. Then if I plug a different phone into the same port, the different phone displays correctly.

I'm almost positive it's a problem with this one phone.
