Hello,

In my avaya i configured 3 external line. I only have 1 phone (Extension 201) connected to the avaya server.

I configured huntgroup for my 3 external line so it ring extension 201 on incoming call.

When i receive call #1, everything work fine. I pick up the phone with extension 201.

If i receive a second call while my first call is still active, i dont receive any indication of that call.

If i add another phone on extension 202
When i receive call #1, everything work fine. I pick up the phone with extension 201 extension 202 has an indication on it that 201 picked up the call.
When i receive call #2, only phone extension 202 ring extension 201 has no indication.

Even if i reverse picking up call 1 with phone 202, same thing happen, no indication on 202.

What do i need to configure to receive call even if i am already on a call, so i can at least answer the call, say a introduction sentence, then park it.

Thank you

Turn off queuing, make the group ring collective with call waiting.

Tried, not working .. is a special phone needed for this?

Not a rubbish analogue if that's shat you mean. Any IP/Dig handset works as long as it's not configured completely wrong :)

You don't happen to have only 2 call appearances with reserve last CA checked, do you? The second call, with what I suggested, should just show up on the 2nd appearance with a notification ring (default).

Oh and thanks a lot again for you help !

On the phone, try pressing Features, Up arrow until Call Settings, Select, Up arrow 3 times until Show Waiting Call and if it says OFF, press ON and Done

It was activated.

what is stange is when all call all the phone do is ring, never seem to get in "waiting call".

Check your button programming and make sure that you are using more than one call appearance. Under the User go to the Button Programming tab(10th button in, take a picture if necessary and see what is programmed there for call appearances). Also check under the user's Telephony Tab under Multi-line Options to see if 'Reserve Last CA' is checked.

here is what configured on my button tab,

Ive got 4 appearence programmed, yet, nothing happen when i call with the second call.

Im confused. What should happen with call waiting when i ring hunt group 1 and all line are taken ? How do i know, as the caller, that i am on waiting call list?

Simple test:
make a call from 201 then call internally from 202 to 201 and see if it rings then. Try the reverse also and see if it works and get back to us. Also try to change the setting from call waiting on the HG to something else and save then put it back to call waiting, I have had times when it was programmed just not set.

It work if i call from 202 to 201, but if i use an external line it doesnt?

Try calling the HG directly with Extension 201 on a call see if it rings that way, if it doesn't delete the HG and rebuild it.
Mike

Are you sure the group is set to "Collective call waiting" and not just "collective"?

There is too much back and forth here. We've given you instructions on what to change. Maybe just post your config? You could use drop box or something similar. I'd be happy to look at it.
