Personal Contact 9620L IPO 7.0.27 1

Bit of a weird one. Cant seem to add personal contacts via the phone on this install? Pressing Contacts, scroll to Personal, Press New and the screen flashes up the Name/Number screen before returning to the Personal contacts page. Does it on all phones.

Bug? Can anyone verify?

I have this logged in 16xx phones. not tried a 96xx, but a 9608 seems to work!!!

So just to clarify, you see the same on 16xx phones too? Is it software specific or a handset firmware bug?

Typical that they have 9620's because of the problems with the 9608's!

Thanks. When did you report it? Are they likely to release a PB or should I just roll back to 7.0.23?

Downgraded to 7.0.23 and that fixed it.

7.0.27 is a bad release for contacts on the 95XX series. Has anyone tried to go to 8 yet? Downgrading once you've loaded the higher version seems to be problematic when using the SD card as the file server.

On 8.0.16 the contacts are working.
Downgrading is just as easy as upgrading.

But when you are not sure then remove the SD card from the system.
BE sure and make a complete copy of it and recreate it with Manager with the version you want to use.

Then after you are done copy back the files for the config and call log and dhcp data

Put it back and reboot the IPO.

The IPO can run 2 hours without the SD card.

I got this from our distributor yesterday when I reported this when we had it happenning to our 9508 and 9630 phones.

"The case is with Tier4.
I have got an update from them that a Patch and an accompanying Technical Tip for this issue will be made available by this week.

I will let you know when I get the next update."

Patch 7.0(278401) loaded and fixed these issues on 16xx phones at one of our sites.

Also stopped the screens on 54xx flickering when the time changes accross a 3 sits SCN.
