I have a HP Compaq 8220 laptop. I have installed windows Vista ultimate ver 6.00 (Build 6000)
The current driver is a Texas Instruments PCIxx21 Cardbus Controller - Microsoft driver Version 6.0.6000.16386
I have a number of PCMCIA cards, all of which work fine in the laptop when running on XP.
However, now I have Vista installed, 2 of them have issues.
When I put them in the PCMCIA slot, Vista starts to install the drivers, but then goes to a blue screen with no writing on it, and then reboots.
I have put the XP drive back in the laptop to make sure everything still work on that.
I have been through support with HP. They have confiemed the laptop is Vista compliant, and I have downloaded and installed all the relevant Vista service pack from the HP website Their support team have basically said just use the PCMCIA card with XP until a BIOS upgrade gets released.
Does anyone have any better ideas?
Thanks,
