Good afternoon,

I have a customer using VMPro with an after hours auto attendant. This AA is used to pass calls to on-call agents during non-business hours, however, when the call is transferred it only passes the BTN of the PRI and not the CID of the inbound caller. I have heard the CID can be passed via external transfers but cannot find any documentation. Has anyone had any success with this and do you have documentation? The IP Office is running 4.2(11) and VM Pro is 4.2(24).

Set up another ARS table and use Nss########## for the shortcodes. For example if you want to send an original caller's number for your caller ID, you'd create for example an 8N shortcode to point to a new ARS table with:

Code: 1N;
Feature: Dial
Number: 1Nss

Then in the VMPro send the transfer to the external number using an 8 instead of a 9 for the external access.

use twinning and send original caller ID that way

If you can't be good, be good at it!

Just an FYI, not all PRI's will allow passing of original CID. Alot of the "dynamic" PRI's that I've worked with lock down what numbers can be sent, and usually it's only numbers that came with the PRI.
