Hello
we have a Partner ACS with Partner mail VS R5.0 4 port Vmail. We have a small auto attendant and directory set up and when people chose extension 10 the default operator says "transfering to operator". How do we change that message so it plays transfering to "persons name" instead?
Thanks

As far as I know, you can't. It is set on the hard drive and not a feature or recording you can access. It's just the way it is.

No we dont. She only has her normal mailbox greeting recorded. Do you think there is another option to replacing that default "transfering to receptionist" message?
Thanks

you do have the option of recording a name along with the greeting I would try that. Im not sure if it would solve it , (I think it might) , but its easy enough to try .

If money were not an issue, you could upgrade the voicemail to the Avaya Partner Messaging.

When you transfer to an extension the stock announcement says "Your call is being transfered, please wait". Then if there is no answer, the voicemail can either play the person's name or message.

VS mail doesn't have the name recording option like Partner Mail and Messaging. The "transferring to receptionist" is built in, can't be changed, and offends some folks who have ext. 10 and aren't "receptionists".

I have tried to stay away from VS mail (does it show ? ):)
