How can I tell if our voicemail system is using an auto attendant, or if there is a designated extension picking up the calls made to our station after business hours? System was installed awhile ago by an assoicate who is no longer with us, we need his voice off our greeting! Silly, question, but I have very little expereince with partner systems.
Any help is appreciated.

If incoming callers are being asked to press digits to reach various personnel or departments, you have an auto attendant. (Press 1 for sales, Press 2 for customer service, Press 3 for Steve Smith.....)

Could you describe and post the physical layout of your Partner's control box? For example, do you have a large 5 card carrier, a small 2 card carrier or a single processor secured to the wall?

Could you read the labels on card(s) found in the control processor box so you can tell what is your system and post your findings? For example, a Partner ACS processor revision 6.0, a 012 module, a 400 module a Partner Mail VS revision 5.0 or Partner Messaging module)?

Lastly, could you post what cards, if any, are inserted in the front of the Partner processor? Just read the words, but don't pull them out of the powered up processor.

Sorry, I mis-read the title of your post. [purpleface]

If you have a module that says Partner Mail VS rev 5.0, you have an auto attendant.

If callers are asked to press 4 for him or 5 for her, or can simply dial the extension desired during the greeting, it is an autoattendant.

If the caller is required to dial *8 plus the desired extension number, the greeting is from within a mailbox of a subscriber.

The way to check in system programming is under #206 and #208 to see if the lines are owned by an extension or by the autoattendant.

*8 + extension is also used to transfer from an announcement

Thanks everyone. I have figured out what my system is set up for, now I just need to figure out the admin pass word so I can make changes. Same employee had posession of password, no where to be found. Suggestions?
