OK,
Does anyone else have this problem?

I have a customer that has about 400 locations with Partner phones. The most common problem is a buzzing or a loud humming. I have found it only on the Euro phones, both the first generation with the gray plug and also with the second generation with the black plugs.

My question is?
Has anyone found a solution to repair these? Besides sending them in...

I haven't come across the buzzing problem with my Partner phones yet. The biggest problem I've run into is the audio from hands-free speakers becoming raspy sounding. The sets will probably need to be sent out for repair.

If it ain't broke, I haven't fixed it yet.

To troubleshoot, I recommend that you pick one site with the problem and answer the following:
1. Have you taken a "bad" phone off site and plugged it into another processor that does not have the problem? (This will determine if it is a defective phone.)
2. Do all the Euro phones at the site have the buzzing problem - or is it only some of the phones?
3. When did the problem start? Did the customer change service providers? Do all locations use the same service provider?
4. Have you had the service provider test the lines? If the decibels or ring voltage is too low, it will cause this type of problem. Partner needs to see between 23-28 MA (Milliamps), and the ring voltage needs to be 90-105 VAC (Voltage Alternating Current) for it to work correctly. If the carrier isn't sending that, adjusting it may solve the problem.

Thanks sysconsultant. I have done all the trouble shooting, been working on these for 15 years. I just wanted to see if anyone out there has found the "replaceable" part on the phone board. I'm pretty sure what it is, I would like to see if there is a for sure answer out there.
