I have a Partner system running ACS R5.0 and the box is set up as such:

Slot 1: 308ec module
Slot 2: Mail VS R3.0 module
Slot 3: ACS processor R5.0 module

Right now I've got extensions 30 and 31 set up in Hunt Group 7 for voicemail and I can dial Intercom 777 to get in.

Before I set up extensions 30 and 31 in the Hunt Group two things were happening

1. I could not dial Intercom 777 (got a fast busy)
2. Any calls to the system from an outside line were going straight to an automated attendant which then immediately transferred the call to extension 10.

NOW, I can Intercom 777 but absolutely nothing I have changed in the system programming will make the voicemail system answer after any amount of ringing.

Any ideas on what I can look at? I have somewhat of a guide and I've made changes per line and per extension using system commands such as #506, #505, #507, etc.

Thank you!

The extension layout:
Code:
18--26--10
19--27--11
20--28--12
21--29--13
22--30--14
23--31--15
24------16
25------17
[code]

So 30 and 31 is correct for a [b]2 port[/b] VS Mail system.

The ports need to be assigned to group 7, #505-7-30-1 and #505-7-31-1

The lines need to be assigned to the Auto Attendant, #206-7-(Line Number)-1

The number of rings before the AA answers needs to be set #506-(MODE: 1=Day/2=Night)-(Line Number)-(Number of rings from 0 to 6)

The mode of answering needs to be set #507-(Line Number)-(1=Always/2=Night Only/3=Day Only)

That's pretty much it!!

Argh! The Auto Attendant...I think that's the one. I'll have to double check it when I get back to that building. I have two incoming lines, so both line 1 and line 2 need to be done.

(ie: #206-7-1-1, #206-7-2-1)
Right?

I need some help with a programming issue.
1. on ext. 13 witch is a 18d, on button number # their is an outside line that was assigned to that button.
by outside line i mean a pots line. I did check it at the dmark I do have dialtone. so when i press the botton i i get dead air. how would i fix this?

bobcat - you should start a new thread, look at the top of the page for
"Start A New Thread"

At the phone, press Feature 00, then press the line button, make sure that it says "Line 03", then Feature 00 to exit out of that. Now press Intercom and dial 803 to check for dial tone

If the button did not come up as line 3, then at Ext. 10
Feature 00
Left Intercom twice
#301-13-(The line number that showed on button 3)-2
#301-13-03-1
Feature 00
