Partner Mail VS 4 Static

Hello all...

There is all sorts of static and distortion when I record an outgoing message on the night menu prompt. It makes it sound something like the adults on the Peanuts cartoons. Is this a common problem or do I just have a bad card? It never had this problem before...

Have you tried to record from more than 1 phone? could be a bad handset. I have also seen this issue when a port on the VM goes bad, you could try to call each port individually to narrow down which port it is. Hope this helps

Try a Reset Save All (989 RESET) once you have logged into the System Admin Mailbox.

I also had a problem like this mostly with the incoming audio not as much with the outbound. I found it to be a dirty socket/board connection on the module. By reseating the VMS into the cabinet I was able to make the issue go away.
