I recently purchased a used Partner phone system. My 2 display phones say "Voice Messaging System" when a call comes in. I have 3 separate phone lines plugged into the system.
Line 1 is in the ACS Processor under PFT I
Line 2 is in the ACS Processor under PFT II
Line 3 is in the ACS Processor directly under PFT II
I have the auto attendant stating "dial 10 for person X, dial 11 for person Y, dial 12 for person Z" and so on. When the call goes to one of the 2 display phones we see "Voice Message System".
I've called Verizon 3 times and they say the Caller ID should be active on all 3 lines. It's been 2 weeks now.
One strange thing is when someone calls on Line 1, display phone 10 gives me a half ring before going to the auto attendant. I don't know why. Line 2 and 3 don't do that on display phone 10.
How can I get the Caller ID to work? Am I missing something?
When you call one of the 3 numbers from an outside line, it doesn't ring - it goes right to the auto attendant. I've tried changing some ring settings but it doesn't do anything. Please keep in mind that the system is used. Maybe there's a setting the previous owner had that I can't figure out how to turn off. I'm clueless. I have the manual and the Telephone Programming Overlay.
