Page Across SCN to System B Page Port Won’t Trigger VOX

Hey Gang… I have a 2-System SCN, connected via private fiber. Both systems are R11.0, using 9600 series phones. System B has a Page Port on a Combo card going into a Bogen UTI312 page port input, with a 600 0hm resistor across the pair. UTI switches are set to “page port” and “VOX”.

My issue is that a page, from a phone in System A, does not produce enough volume from the System B page port to trigger the UTI312. If I yell into the handset, it triggers.

My first guess is that I should put a preamp between the page port and UTI. Thoughts, or other options?

Get a Bogen VAR-1 and use the contact page method on page 9 of the manual. VOX is always iffy.
