Outlook: IMAP Displaying If an Email has been Read

I set up IMAP protocol to use on my desktop and Iphone.

It seems to be working good, but with one issue.

Works: When I receive an email from someone I can read it on my desktop and then look to my Iphone and see that same email has already been read.

Not Working: When I receive an email from someone I can read it on my Iphone but when I look to Outlook and see that same email has not been read.

Thinking that Outlook needs to address the server to figure out a message has been read or not I hit send/receive, but that doesn't help the issue.

I have the same problem. Emails read in outlook are updated as such on my treo (using chatter mail) but emails read on the treo are not updated in outlook (2003). Anyone have an idea? Thanks!
