[ponder]Please help, I have been looking everywhere for an answer to this problem. All I'm trying to do is make the outgoing caller id work on one switch on my network. I have a G450/S8300 with CM6.3 that is tied to a G3RV9 by a point to point T1. The caller id is being sent from the G450 (Ican see it by doing a L trace) but the G3R ins't recieving it or it is not being passed to the PSTN. The G3R is passing caller id from numbers on that switch just fine and from the other G3R's I have but the new G450's don't pass id.

So is it not possible to have outgoing caller id sent from a new G450 by T-1 to an old G3R and then out to the world?[ponder]

Ok, I will busyout the link and adjust the settings tonight when everyone goes home and see if that fixes it. I'll check back in tomorrow.[thumbsup2]

ok, I was able to sneak in a busyout at lunch and changed th esetting to PBX and user. Still no I.D. Here is a trace I did on the TAC from the G3r where the outgoing trunk is.

List Trace TAC 719

12:51:03 dial 98438356
12:51:03 seize trunk-group 91 member 23 cid 0x219
12:51:03 Setup digits 8438356
12:51:03 Calling party 5038432998
12:51:03 Proceed trunk-group 91 member 23 cid 0x219
12:51:03 Alert trunk-group 91 member 23 cid 0x219
12:51:06 idle trunk-group 12 member 22 cid 0x219
12:51:08 TRACE COMPLETE trunk-group 91 cid 0x0
13:01:45 TRACE COMPLETE trunk-group 91 cid 0x0

Here is the trace from the sta in the G3r that I called. The 5038432590 is our old mask number from the phone company and we still use it on most of our numbers.

12:58:01 Calling party trunk-group 6 member 6 5038432590 cid 0x25c
12:58:01 dial 8356
12:58:01 ring station 83xx cid 0x25c
12:58:10 active station 83xx cid 0x25c
12:58:16 idle trunk-group 6 member 6 cid 0x25c
12:58:20 TRACE COMPLETE station 83xx cid 0x0

Any thoughts?

Well, now that that's out of the way... what firmware on the MM710 vs 464HP?

How do I check that?

The MM170 is only a year old HV15 and the TN464HP is hv13.

list conf all, list conf ds1, or if they were boards 1v01 and 2b02, then "list conf board 1v01" and "list conf board 2b02"
You'll get HW and FW vintage in the print.

Is this it?

MM710BP HW15 FW050.

TN464HP HW13 FW020.

Yup. Nothing specified in the firmware notes. Maybe updating might help anyway, and would give each a reset - which you probably haven't done on the TN464 since going down this rabbit hole!

Maybe you can check in the R9 in disp sys cus and see if you have QSIG available. It should be on the 6.3 switch and perhaps might help.

What's your patch load on 6.3? swversion from Linux will tell you, or the software option in the webpage. Base GA load might not be good, but I can have a read through the release notes for you.

And there's nothing regarding your issue even remotely in CM 6.3.8 release notes down to 6.3.0

Here is what I got. Thanks. I didn't see any QSIG for the G3R.

So, that's 6.3 SP1. SP8 is out now. Depending on how busy/complex 6.3 is, perhaps a patch to that or more simply, the ds1 cards might help.

But, as long as you can still see 6.3 calling G3R and advertising number but not out G3Rs trunks advertising number, you'd wanna think the problem lives in the G3.

Have to say, I'm getting pretty stumped. Its probably something stupid!

Just a dumb question but have you contacted the carrier and had them monitor their trunk while you make a call? They can tell you real quick if you are sending the info or not.

Kyle555, I put a call into the carrier to verify again that they released the caller id to me on both my trunks and not just one of them. I will also update the firmware on the TN464, maybe that will do it. If I get it figured out I'll post back. Thanks a million for all your help and everyone else who tried too!!!!!

Newglide, I never thought about that so I will try that as well!
