I am trouble shooting an outgoing calling ID tag issue on an IP412 running the 3.2 (53) release. Regardless of the user short code I set the system is transmitting the incoming call route as the caller ID tag. As an example if I dial from a phone with the incoming call route of 555-555-5555 the caller ID will show 555-555-5555. If I call from a phone with out an incoming call route associated with the outgoing caller ID would display as 555-555-5500 (The PRI billing number).
I have tried the following user codes:
[9]N;
NsiXXXXXXXXXXX
and
[9]N;
NsXXXXXXXXXXX
Avaya support has told me that this is a problem with Qwest (my local phone carrier), but I find this hard to believe as the outgoing caller ID is being set by the incoming call route table. The only other part of the puzzle that I would add is that I am trying to set the caller ID to match our 1-800 number.
