Hi all,

Strange issue. Have been using SIP trunking for awhile on IP Office without issue. On the newest system we have installed when an outbound call is placed, the display on the screen of the 9508 set shows "Anonymous" instead of the number that is being dialed. Just to clarify, this is not the outbound CLID which is working fine, its the information that is displayed on the desk set when the call is being made - almost as if the system has defaulted to showing the name of the number you are dialing instead of the number. Obviously the system doesn't have a record of the name associated with the number and it shows Anonymous. Any ideas on where this can be changed in the IP Office programming to display the dialed number instead of name on the set displays?

Thanks!!!

Is the anonymous in the system directory?

Or personal directory?

Ldap installed?

Does it happen on one station or all ststions?

Hi guys,

On 9.1.6.

We are not using LDAP or anything fancy here at all. There is nothing in the Directory, or in any personal directory. Occurring on all stations. Nice to know i'm not crazy haha. I feel like this is a SIP related issue, as the outbound call shows fine on the 2 analog trunks, but shows Anonymous on the SIP trunks. Weird! Any other thoughts?

Thanks! !

Hold your horses..

No one told you you are not crazy..

Don't put the words in out mouth :)

Do a default monitor trace, that should tell you why.

I think we need a sys monitor trace with sip filters enabled.

Did you try an exorcism yet.
Or let us have the monitor trace and we can do one for you.

The 9.1 release seems to have been quite Bug ridden, the current release is 9.1.11

Have you checked the release notes for the subsequent releases to see if this is a known issue?

me neither but I would consider upgrading to the latest maintenance release to be a prudent move if you cannot see anything obviously wrong (it is certainly the 1st thing Avaya will tell you if you try to raise it with them)
