Hi All,

I'm trying to connect an OTM client to OTM server, connection between server en client seems to be fine. I can login to OTM from the client.

The trouble start when I'm opening Station Administration or CPND. It immidiatly returns with error "Cannot create Meridian 1 file (3014)".

Running the same from the server without any errors.

Anybody has a solution for this?

TIA,

Are you logged into the PC with an account that has local admin rights. I know that OTM is very sensitive to this and needs local admin rights to work properly.

atascoman: yes, I'm logged in with local admin rights at the client. Connecting/Logging in to OTM from the client doesn't seem to be the problem.

Yeah, I've had that problem. There is a sharing violation in the Operating System.

Sccoppa, a sharing violation? the install guide instructs to share the Nortel directory.

How did you go about solving this issue?

The error you mentioned can appear for few reasons. First, the server drive should be mapped right off the root of the drive where the common data folder is stored. Second, ensure you mapped the server drive using the server name not the IP address of the server. Third, the client needs full access to the OTM Applications in the W2000 Server components with the correct server name in the MSI client files.
Good luck
