Hi friends

can any one help to resolve the below issue.

Replace the Control card of Hipath 3800 with OSBV2 .
configured the same network details.
but the entrasys data switch is not allowing to ping .

license mac ID is different with the physical mac ID.
but the license is activated

first, did you do the upgrade properly ? did you try to ping the new control card directly from your PC ?

i connect a normal switch between pc and system its pinging.
Entrasys switch is not allowing to ping.
if i told this issue to IT,they said no issue in switch.
in the same port if Hipath 3800 or laptop connected,the switch allowing to ping.
but when i connect OSB,it not allowing.

OK, did you configure the IP default router on your OSB !

i have installed more than 30 OSB and this is teh first incident happend to me.

Did you try replacing the network patch cord? )

yes i try to replace patch cord also.

i confirmed the problem is from Entrasys switch,need some commad to clear ,but IT dept is blaming our system.

Many OSB installed and Upgraded,the first incident is this and not understand how to prove them this issue is from IT.

What is the model of the Enterasys

Possibly the ARP table in the switch that thinks it has a different mac address on that port. Can you try a different port or get the IT guys to reset the switch?
