Dear All,

One of our users phones (A) ext9894) does forward every external call directly to a different ext9941 (B). The users phone is setup that all calls should forward to her secretary (C)(ext9964) if she dosent pick them up after a few rings.

I already did reprogram phone A from scratch but it did not resolve the issue.

Please find the phones configuration below, any help is greatly appreciated:

change SFD to SFA in CLS.... (SFA = secondary forwarding allowed... )

Hi Gibblett,

many thanks for your quick reply. I changed the class to SFA but unfortunately external call still divert directly to the wrong extension.

Hi GHTROUT,

If a user (9894) has a secreaty his calls are supposed to divert to the secretary if the user does not pick up the phone afer three rings.

Therefore I added the user secretary's (9964) to eht, efd and fdn.

Nevertheless all external calls divert directly (without ringing on 9894) to ext 9941, who is the secretary of someone else.

If it is only external calls being affected, check your IDC tables for an entry there.

I notice the Call Forward button was last programmed to go to 9948. Is this person inadvertently Call Forwarding to the wrong place? (See KEY 19)

Also check to see what the Operator/Revert/"Zero out" is set to for this persons voice mailbox. That may be the problem.

How are you doing this?

This is a Signature and not part of the answer, it appears on every reply.

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

Dear all,

apologies for the late reply. I just wanted to let everyone know that Johnthephoneguy's suggestion was correct and that the IDC tables had to be corrected. I passed this to our PABX support company and they fixed it in no time.

Can anyone explain me how to check these tables?

Kind regards,
Sebastian

then return until it spits out the info.

The numbers on the left are the incoming digits, the numbers on the right where those are pointed to.
