OpenStage 40 HFA is unable to boot the application

Hi,

I have OpenStage 40 HFA and when I connect it the screen shows this

SLBL : 1.0.1.5
BOOT : SP291_MCH_U_BOOT_081128

Booting Application ...

(see the attached image)
then it restarted and the same screen appeared and so on.
How can I solve this problem?

Use the DERT application and reflash the phone. DERT uses an older firmware version, but once you get it back to life, you should be able to update the firmware. If you don't have DERT, you should be able to find it on TONIDO. (See FAQ's)

Okay I found it and I'm downloading Version: V3 R0.40.3
Can I get the instruction on how to upgrade the phone?

OS_40_HFA_V3_R0_40_3.IMG is corrupted

Just use 0.40.0. For some reason 0.40.3 got removed from the Customer Portal, so 0.40.0 is the latest version available.

Ha! I'm glad I just saw this! I have been under pressure from the whiny network techs to push out a software upgrade to solve a problem it's not going to fix - because the problem is their network. I have that version on maybe 10 phones for testing because I don't trust bleeding edge. I have seen releases get pulled from GA more than once....

And installed it
No corruption

Please can you tell me what is corrupt or what the problem is

Is that a new version of DERT?? I have been waiting for them to upgrade the base forever. The one I'm currently using has issues and I have to push out a newer version as soon as I recover the phone.

I try and keep everything up to date but not always, I think it is the latest anyway
