Hi Guys.

Can you explain me how to configure trunk between OpenScape 4000 V8 and OSB X8.

OpenScape 4000 V8 has DIU-N2 board on 1-1-12 and OSB X8 has DIU-T2 on slot 10.

I've read alot of threads from this forum about creating trunks
but still can't get the point.

I don't understand when I should use CO or TIE; S2COD, S2CONN or HG3550IP; ESTI, ECMAV2 or CORNV33.

I would really appreciate for explanation.

If it is a link between 2 systems then it is a TIE trunk,

If you are using those cards (DIUN2 and DIUT2) then it would be an ISDN interconnection trunk (S2CONN TIE)
The Protocol ECMAV2 would be used with Segment 8.

Do you need examples from 4K side ?

Thank you for answer sbcsu.

I executed such commands on the OS4K side.
ADD-BUEND:60,"OS4K-OSB ",30,0,*,2,ON,0,0,NEUTRAL;
ADD-TDCSU:NEW,1-01-012-1,30,30,0,0,30,1,1," ",0,"ECMAV2",1,,NONE,,,,GDTR,N,CO,NONE,N,2,8,,,,,,31,MANY,10,2,1,1,EMPTY,30,10,N,,,,,,16,8,1,10,,EC&G711&G729AOPT,,60,CIR,Y,TRADITIO,0,60,60,S2COD,1&&15,N,1,2,0,0,0,0,0,,;
"segment" in above command equals to "1" which is wrong as you said (I'll change this parameter)

But I got "UNACH/CP" on all 15 lines.

If I got you right, when DIUXX boards are using then settings always should be:
ISDN interconnection trunk (S2CONN TIE), ECMAV2 protocol with Segment 8.
Is that correct?

That would be great to see an example.

Thank you.

Here is an example.
It is a HiPath 4000 (V3) interconnecting with a (HiPath 3000) - EURO SETUP - 30 Channels
A bit dated but I can't find any newer at the minute.
It uses Cornet (Corporate Net) but it works.
If you need to use a different protocol you have to deactivate the trunk on the 4K side first.
If you are successful then ring an extension on the 3K and put a 'callback' on to it
If the callback works then your link should be good.

If it is only 15 channels then change the TDCSU as follows: BCHAN=1&&15

Thank you very much sbcsu.

I have OpenScape 4000 V8 and OSB X8 V2.

As you advised me, I recteated the TDCSU like this:
ADD-TDCSU:OPT=NEW,PEN=1-01-012-1,COTNO=30,COPNO=30,DPLN=0,ITR=0,COS=30,LCOSV=1,LCOSD=1,CCT="OS4K-OSB",DESTNO=0,PROTVAR=ECMAV2,SEGMENT=8,DEDSVC=NONE,

COTX=30,FWDX=10,CHIMAP=N,UUSCCX=16,UUSCCY=8,FNIDX=1,NWMUXTIM=10,CLASSMRK=EC&G711&G729AOPT,TGRP=60,SRCHMODE=CIR,INS=Y,SECLEVEL=TRADITIO,
HMUSIC=0,CALLTIM=60,WARNTIM=60,DEV=S2CONN,BCHAN=1&&15,BCNEG=N,BCGR=1,LWPAR=2,LWPP=0,LWLT=0,LWPS=0,LWR1=0,LWR2=0;

I have questions about these options:
"SRCHMODE" is set to "CIR", should I set it to "DSC"?
Does E1 trunk configuration use "LWPAR"? in this configuration "LWPAR" is set to "2".

I still get "UNACH/CP" on all 15 lines, but it is connection problem which should be fixed first.

Thank you.

The LWPAR - Loadware Parameters - are set to 'send clock' as master or receive clock as clock slave.
Also to turn on/off Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC4)

The LWPAR Provided is just and example.

Search mode does not really matter, probably better to be circular at the start to test each channel.

Set the LWPAR as attached.
DIS-LWPAR to display the LWPAR and set the far end to be slave/crc4 on/off

Thank you sbcsu.

"Search mode does not really matter, probably better to be circular at the start to test each channel."
Thus, better change "SRCHMODE" to "DSC" after everything get work well?

Can you explain me what for is GKREG?

Thank you.

GKREG will not be needed for a link between those systems.
The GKREG is used to setup a link between the internal ISDN and the IP (vSTMI / STMIx) link to another system.

Searchmode can be any type, it depends also on what the other end is set to.
To avoid channel negotiation or channel collisions then one side would be ASC the other DSC

If you are stuck try changing the LWPAR - it should be CRC4 on OR off at both ends.
One end also should be the clock master and one the clock slave.
If the 4k is the Clock Master then in the LWPAR make it Master=yes, SMD=yes
and set the REFTA to 0
CHA-REFTA:CIRCUIT,1-2-3-4,0,,,0;

Thank you sbcsu.

I set LWPAR=2 in TDCSU
CHANGE-LWPAR:TYPE=DIUS2,BLNO=2,LNTYPE=COPPER,VERSION=S2,QUAL=OFF,MASTER=N,DCHAN1=16,DCHAN2=0,PATTERN=D5,QUAL1=10,QUAL2=10,SMD=N,PERMACT=Y,FCBAB=DF,CDG=N,FIXEDTEI=0,CNTRNR=255,TEIVERIF=N,CRC4REP=N,DEV=INDEP;

But I should set LWPAR=0 and check. Thank you for advice.
CHANGE-LWPAR:TYPE=DIUS2,BLNO=0,LNTYPE=COPPER,VERSION=S2,QUAL=ON,MASTER=Y,DCHAN1=16,DCHAN2=0,PATTERN=D5,QUAL1=10,QUAL2=10,SMD=Y,PERMACT=Y,FCBAB=DF,CDG=N,FIXEDTEI=0,CNTRNR=255,TEIVERIF=N,CRC4REP=N,DEV=INDEP,INFO="HP3800";

REFTA is already in "0" state
ADD-REFTA:TYPE=CIRCUIT,PEN=1-1-12-1,PRI=0,BLOCK=N,READYASY=N;

If the 3K is sending clock then 4K is master=n smd=n and refta pri=80
If the 4K is sending clock then master=y smd=y and refta=0

I've found these post

and did reset an ISDN as you advised

No matter of settings at least layer1 should be ok if there is no issue with E1, is that correct?

You are showing 2 pen's
1-1-1-1 and 1-1-12-1

REG-TDCSU and see what PEN the trunk is on

My bad.

These was taken from the post.
DEA-DSSU:L,PEN,1-1-1-1;
ACT-DSSU:AUL,BCHAN,1-1-1-1;
RES-DSSU:pEN,1-1-1-1;

I did run commands with correct pen's.
DEA-DSSU:L,PEN,1-1-12-1;
ACT-DSSU:AUL,BCHAN,1-1-12-1;
RES-DSSU:pEN,1-1-12-1;

Put the 2 systems 'back to back' in the same location if possible.
Get and use a 2MB Tester if possible.
Ensure you have the correct connectors

Thank you sbcsu.

Unfortunately it is not possible to put these systems back-to-back.

Still waiting for line to be fixed.

Get and use a 2MB Tester if possible.
