hey guys,

im sure this has been said.....

but how do you convert a 96xx oneX phone to the IP OFFICE software?

thanks!

96xx always say one-x on them it's the range of phones they belong to, it's not that they are part of the one-x quick edition telephone system (at least I've never seen one), so they just need to be moved onto IP Office firmware in the normal fashion i.e clear any settings and then direct it to the IP Office and it will flash itself to the correct firmware as you would a 46xx :)

i just plugged a new 9610 in and it asking for a code???

what does this mean?

Not sure, but 9610's are not supported and don't work on the IP Office plus they are end of sale :)

craft worked great!! thanks!

now my phone just flashes???

it still says bad file server when booting?

is there anything i should change in the manager programming?

ip office 406v2 5.0.15 (just have it set up as a test unit before we install it)

everything is default....but i did set my PC to 192.168.42.20 as i have all the other ip addresses set to 192.168.42.20 in the system option/system tab

sorry....forgot to say that im now using a 9650

To make it work, you need to stick a compact flash card in the system and use Manager to do a "Upload phone files" to the card and then set the IP Office LAN1 address as file server, i have never got a 96xx to work any other way :)

Also press mute then type CRAFT again and select clear/clear all values whatever it is and then try again :)

The 96xx will only work on IP500 & IP500v2 not legacy systems such as IP4xx.

Valid point :)

i will try it out tomorrow.

They also do not work on 5.0 !!!

You need to be on 6.0 at least an have an ip500 or ip500v2 !!!

On 5.0 and on an ip500 it gives burrer errors when there is a 9600 phone connected.
