hello,

my one- X Portal service provides no connection when the DSL line has been disconnected and is being rebuilt. On the dsl line a vpn tunnel is established. Only when I use the one- X Portal service reboot the connection to the ipo is restored. One-X portal is installed on an application server. The system runs with R9.1.7 but i have the same problem on R9.1.6. Somebody has an idea about this?

greetings

So the Application Server and IP Office is not in the same location?

If the network connection that OXP uses isn't reliable then the service will not be reliable, running it across VPN isn't the best idea though :)

no they are not in the same location. it is an SCN with two ipos. but why try the service does not establish the connection again?

So if it is at the same location why should DSL/VPN come in place?

no they are not in the same location. it is an scn with two ipos und one application server. one ipo is not in the same location an this ipo is the problem at one-x portal.

It is most likely network issue. Can you check the Provider status (mainly for CSTA and DSML providers) on One-X Admin page.

If there is Provider Socket Exception - it can mean connectivity issues. But there could actually be other issues as well.

SAP Login failure mean that the EnhTcpaService user passwords configured on IP Office and One-X Admin are not matching. The reason for SAP Login failure could also be due to the IP Office already being used by another One-X Portal (unlikely in this scenario).

Hope this helps

Only the CSTA provider is not connected. DSML is ok after the vpn tunnel is reconnected. Why does the CSTA provider not reconnect from allone like the DSML provider? After restart the onex service on the app server it runs.

The ports used by CSTA and DSML connectors are not same.
The DSML connection is over standard HTTP or HTTPS port so it is more likely to work in the situations where certain ports are blocked.

Check one-X install guide and ports used.

Hello to all,

thanks for your answers. Why should I ports or passwords check if everything goes after a restart of the one-x portal service on the app server?
Only the CSTA provider does not work after a reconnect from the VPN tunnel. Why the CSTA Provider not reconnected after a line break to the ipo?

greetings

Since you have pin pointed what goes wrong this is not something we can fix.

You should make a ticket with Avaya so they can fix how the CSTA Provider handles broken connections.

Hi Groej,

If the connectivity for CSTA goes only VPN, then I think it is more likely to be network issue.

What is the reason you see in health -> component status for failed CSTA provider?
