Hey Guys!

I have a customer with an IPO (IP500 V2) which we will be upgrading to the latest version of 8.0. We are running VM Pro on a PC with XP Pro 32bit, 2gb of RAM and a 250gb Hard Drive.

We are trying to determine if One-x Portal will work properly on this machine (so we can deploy the One-X Mobile App), and I am wondering if anyone has tried this and can share their experiences with me.

Any help is appreciated.

Jo

One-x portal only runs on server OS not on client OS

A simple mind delivers great solutions

2Gb of ram is also the minimum for 1XP only.
So get more ram memory and install the Linux application server on it.
Then you can run VMPro and 1XP on it without spending a lot of money on hardware.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

I know that one-x is not officially supported on windows xp, but the question is, does it work and if so what are the issues?

It is not supported so i do not even think of trying it :)
In a lab i would try it but i would never ever install it at a customer site.

We have a customer who needs it all for one user.
its crazy to think we need to deploy server OS for this due the time and cost.
Has anyone made it work with XP in a lab?

I think it's like CCR and checks the OS when you launch the installer, then fobs you off if it's wrong :)

Superikey, install the Avaya linux apps on it.
Be sure that you have a good backup from VMPro (read the docs how too do this)
Then you do not have to buy a server OS, it is free (and supported)

There are reasons we dont want to use the linux apps, and they include tools we use on the windows server, cloud backups agents, etc.
We are not looking to run CCR, onely one-x portal mainly for one employee wanting to use the iphone app.

Then install the Linux apps server on a separate system.
You can keep arguing but you really need it.
