Can I choose to use direct tv music channel as source for my on hold music?

As far as I know you can use any music source for MOH , FCC Dropped there regulations years ago , I have a couple dozen customers with there systems hooked to radio stations !

Mike,
Alpine Comm.

Yes I believe it (Rebroadcasting) is still illegal as well.
I think FCC only gave up the handling of the licenses which are now handled by BMI or ASCAP etc (SOCAN in Canada).

Those sites have the requirements, forms & licenses you will need.

My sisters office has Dterm Series III switch with an annoying classical tune (Beethoven??) that would repeat every few seconds. Is that the midi tune, Curly?

Used to work on TIE systems back in the 80's that had canned music "Home on the Range" and "Greensleeves" built in. Real rinky-dink sounding. Like a cheap jack-in-the-box Pop Goes The Weasel. You could move a jumper strap on the backplane to choose tunes. The rise of Meridian M8X24 then MICS spelled TIE's demise. Good riddance.
