On Call Loudspeaker Feature

For the Avaya 1616 phone. Is there a way to announce incoming calls to a user via the speakerphone when the user is on a call.

It does ring once. Do they look at the ceiling when they're on the phone?
I know I do when talk to the wife sometimes.

You could twin to mobile. There's your notification. They get to choose their ring tone too. They don't have to answer it on the mobile. It can just ring there as well.

Now experiencing escalation fatigue.

not over speakerphone but in the users ear I believe. Try call intrude or coaching intrude to test this.
