On an IPS2000 display caller ID does not display on virtual extensions.
Can that be done? Can it display the caller ID on a virtual?
How about if I program instead of a virtual, an unequipped len?

Verify CMD 1212/1213 for the virtual extension number. Also, CMD 5005.

Can you be more specific. Which particular command in 1212 and 1213?
P.S. This is for inbound caller id not outbound.

1212/1213 is for outbound CID. I thought there was an option in CMD 08, but I have yet to find it. Still looking.

The software revision did not permit for some of those commands you listed.
I see that when I apply DID Name assignment, it blocks the caller id even on a station call.

The issue is inbound caller id from an outside caller is being blocked by the DID name assignment.
Is there any way around it? They need the name do identify the DID dialed to the call center.

This may be a software version issue. What is the software version?
To provide Calling Number and Calling Name Display on Dterm/ATTCON LCD simultaneously, do the
following programming:
[Series 3800 software required]

You need version N1 = 3800 or higher for the feature to work. What you have is extremely old. First release of 3200.
F1 = R6.1 3200
F2 = R6.2 3200
H1 = R8 3300
J1 = R9 3400
K1 = R10 3500
L1 = R11 3600
M1 = R12 3700
M1 1.04 or higher = R12.2 3700
N1 = R13 3800
P1 = r14 3900, last one.

You cant get that anymore. I guess they will be forced to have multiple phones for the receptionist to see which number is calling in. I could also put a 32 button phone and have physical buttons for each company.

No licensing is required for an ATTCON. It needs a digital station port. Some programming and a system reset.

I tried a different CPU and still not caller in. I think the reason is that there is a name display for each DID 7624 under DID name assignment.
Is there no way to have a name assignment and caller id?

1. Is the software version of the new CPU 3800 or 3900?
2. If you remove the name does the number appear?
CMD 15136 = 1 default
08>563 = 1 default (calling number/calling name
version 3800 or higher software required.
See programming manual p188

So, you can get either name or number but not both?
Does it work for primary extensions? I see you are looking for it on virtuals. That may not be an option.
It also states hardware required is Dterm with LCD AND DLC card. I take it to mean primary extensions only.

Not on primary and not on virtual.
It looks like the DID name takes the same field and you can have either or. Either a name in the did field or a caller id but not both.

That's interesting since CMD 15400 has the option for CID on upper line, name on middle line, or name on upper line and number on middle line. These are the phones with 3 lines of LCD?
