I Have a client that has an big old Definity in a weekley motel setting. They are using DID for every room.

I work on Nortel and Partner, Merlin and I am wondering if it is worth trying to maintain it. They are having problems getting access to the voice mail system. The ADMIN password was changed and they are locked out.

Are there parts for this system or should i just look at replacing it?

Those were (still are) really good systems. The passwords will have to be turned on by Avaya so look to spend a little money there. As for parts, their everywhere and cheap. The only major problem you may run into would be software/software corruption, which support is long gone.

Their are still a lot of those (whatever one you have) systems out there that are still good systems. A bit outdated if you want the latest greatest.

I look to see questions come up on those for a few more years at least.

Depnding on the phone types being used, it might be worth looking at n IP office which may be able to use the old handsets.

What hardware platform? What Definity / CM software version?

Mikeydidit! software / software corruption is still available if you know who to call.
