Hello!

I'm bringing an old SX-200 LW19.3 back to life. I have everything setup and running okay - except for one annoying issue.

I have the CO Lines appearing on the SuperSets (4000) - so they can be individually accessed. Incoming calls work great. CallerID is presented, set goes off hook, user presses Hold, someone else presses the flashing CO button and everything is wonderful.

In reverse, dialing out on a CO trunk, the user selects the line, dials the number and everything is great until they go to put the call/CO Line on hold. No go. No matter how long they wait, or how many times they press the Hold button, the call will not go on hold. It just won't.

I have searched both the set's and trunk's COS. Nothing stands out at me. I've search and changed almost every option in the Trunk Descriptors, no difference. I've looked at the Device Interconnection Table, everything is enabled (period).

I've checked the System Options/Timers/MOSS form (4) and everything looks normal.

I don't know where to look too next? I'm absolutely lost on this one - and I used to know that switch like the back of my hand. Does anyone have any suggestions? I have literally spent three days looking at this and I'm lost! Clueless! No idea where to go next!

Anyone? I would appreciate any ideas/thoughts etc. I really would!

Thanks!

Hi TheMitelGuy

Just like you, I used to know this system like the back of my hands - but that was during the age of the dinosaurs.

So, shooting in the dark here - have you checked the "circuit descriptor of the trunks".
Try changing some options or timers there and see.

Again, sorry I cannot be of much help.

Cheers

You may need the trunks to exist in an outgoing trunk group even if they are directly accessed.

if non of the mentioned ideas work let us know, I have LW19 I could setup and try a few things

Hello everyone,

Well thanks for your ideas, but nothing has worked.

I do have the trunks in a Trunk Group - they need to be a Trunk Group to be used at all, so they are in TG #1.

As it sits right now, no matter what you dial on the CO Trunk, you can't hear anything. The call does go through - however no audio flows. It's just odd. It's almost like the switch is not providing automatic answer supervision and is waiting for it (looking for it) from the trunk. Since it's analog, it will never get it. That's the only thing that I can think of...???

Thanks!

Have you tried staying on the line greater than 20 seconds?

It might be the pseudo answer supervision timer tripping you up

in the trunk descriptor do you have enabled far-end gives answer supervision? If not and you want to eliminate the central office look a extension around as a trunk

Have you checked the polarity on your co lines? Sometimes it can cause flaky problems.
