I have set up off-premise message notification on our support line on a BCM400 system and it is working as expected. However, I keep getting messages in the middle of the night to re-add users who have accidentally removed themselves from the queue by pressing 2 in error at the following prompt:

"Message for (name of mailbox owner). To log on press 1. If you have received this call by mistake, please press 2"

Is it possible to remove the option that allows users to remove themselves from the queue? We manage this on a weekly basis and it is fully double checked to ensure correctness!

Cheers,
tk.

No, it is there in case the wrong cell phone number is put in.

Yep, with smaller cell phones and now touch screens that is a big problem. You would think that Nortel has heard of the problem by now and maybe someone could make it a digit other than the 2. Oh well

Maybe put in a second destination entry for each user...I think if the user removes themself from the notification schedule the system would call the next person in line....they would have to screw up twice before they would be calling you...then you wouldn't have to feel bad for making them feel like a jackass.

Thanks.

Unfortunately, we are using all 5 entries for the notification. I guess it'll have to wait 'til the next upgrade - hopefully it is fixed in a newer version!
