Octel 2616 Message Waiting Port stay logged out

Hi All,

I have an Option 61 Release 6.0 and I am unable to get the 2616 phones that light the M/W light to stay logged in. When I hook a 2616 up to the port, log in, then unplug the phone, then put the cross connect back on, the phone logs out again. I was able to make this work before upgrading to 6.0

When the 2616 is unplugged, it is logging out the phone, I know this work in release 5

Does anyone know if there was a change in R6.0 for this to not work anymore???

To get the port logged back in, go into the octel, option 4.

Locate the port that crapped out, change the I column from N or Y to O, enter all the way through for the port config to save.

Now it's logged on on the Octel side.

To bring it back in service on the Octel and PBX side, go back into option 4 in the Octel, and change the O to Y or N depending on what it was early, then enter through the ports to save the changes.

Now log into the PBX, and stat the card the 2616 is on, should now see 2616 LOGGED IN.

Oddly enough, on an Aria 350 I support, if you short the pair out while it is connected to the Octel, the phone will log in shortly after.

The 350's use a 12 Port PIC-N, the 250's use a 8 Port FLT-N. Shorting out on the 350 does work, the 250's that never seems to work.
