Hi all, hope you can help, I have a Octel 250, I don't know much about this unit, but lately I have been having problems with the unit, here is my problem: customers call from the outside and get the automated attendent, but the customer can not leave a message to mail boxs on the system, then, when the staff try and get there voicemail messages, they can't, also the Octel 250 will not let me communicate with it directly, I got into it by dialing it up on a modem, I set up. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You

So if the outside calls are getting to the Octel where are the trunks pointed to ? Or is it a DID number?

Ken Means, It is a DID number, and it pointed at the Octel 250.

Can you post menu 4-1-1? and what is the integration (sorry if I missed this in the chain). If it's an ACD integration I would start by making sure the appropriate ports are logged in. If it's analog, make sure all the ports in Nortel are enabled.

Then I would start calling all the DNs\pilot and watch the Octel ports to make sure all that should be are answering.

Hey Guys,
I got a new SA Alarm this morning, Hard Drive Not Working, so it took a couple seconds, to locate the two Hard Drives, and Hard Drive 1, the red light was on, so I removed the hard drive for about a minute and put it back in the slot, and looked like it was loading up, but after a minute, it went back to red, tried to enable it, but no luck, I have another 1Gig Hard Drive on its way to me, we will install it and see if it will fly, I want to Thank You all for your help, it is greatly appreciated. I'll let you know if it fixes it, Question, could the Hard Drive, have been intermittly coming online and then shutting down, so the alarm did not show it self so soon?

No. Where are you getting the drive from? It sounds like you need to have someone look at the system that has some experience with them.

Keanmeans, I did have another company call into the Octel 250, to make sure that I needed a new hard drive, and they stated that the drive was dead, so I had them bring a new hard drive and install it, but was unable to save the information from the old drive to the new drive, and it is set up as ACD, and I have one port answering most of the incoming calls, so I'll have to try and figure that mess out.
Checked out the Alarm Data this Morning, here is what was displayed:

Also, I go in to 13 Maintance and then do a 2, I get Integration Errors, can you tell me what means?

Port login/logout to PBX failed.

The port is trying to login to the ACD group and can't.

Port is 1C on the Octel
