I am trying to remove a principal attendant console that is no longer in use. if I try to remove it I get "object in use". I did a change attendant 1 and systematically removed button assignments. Other than the required ubttons (hold, etc) I have 2 that give me the error "object in use" when trying to clear the button assingment. Both are hunt-ns xx that point to different hunt groups. Doing a list usage I see that the only place these hunt groups are in use is on the console. I assumed the button was pressed on the console. I had an end user check the console (which has been placed in a spare office) and they say there are no lights on the console. The console status shows in service/HS disconnect. I busied the port it is connected to then tried to remove the buttons, but that did not work either

How do I remove these button assignments so I can remove the console?

There's many considerations when removing the Primary Attendant console... Associations with hunt groups is just one! Look at the Hunt group and ensure the Extension for the console is not in that group. Nite Mode may have references to the extension of the console too. Busy-out the two hunts groups that have buttons on the console and see if that may help out. I had to do the same a year ago, and yep, it took some finagle'n to get it all removed.

Both hunt's have 0 members. 1 hunt has extension 0 the other 22599. Both have a cover path with: point = attd. I removed the cover path and still have the same issue.

The only reference to 22599 was on incoming call treatment for a trunk. It was the destination (or inserted digits) for a few one-off numbers that have since been ordered out.

How do you busy a hunt group? I have a long list of busy options but, hunt is not one of them. Neither is extension.

Where all would I check for night mode references? Tenant forms are blank. "Change console parameters" shows the Night service active extension as 22658, which is a type 2410 phone in our phone room (I can assure you no one is answering that).

I don't think I have any calls that would hit this. I have 1 inbound ISDN, and call handling has calls going to each station, or to the internal "Main number" for the external main number (which is completely different from our regular did range). This is just an x-ported station pointing to an Audix auto attendant. It odes have a night service destination defined on this form for the main number, but that destination is offered on the auto attendant so it could be easily removed.

Solved.

Added hunt-ns xx to another users station. Then had that user press the feature button. This allowed me to remove it from the attendant.
