Hello All,

I have a system running multiple clustered 3300s with a Nupoint server for voicemail. We are having an issue where messages are played back and unintelligible due to the choppiness/noisiness. This is happening to random mailboxes and if the message is purged and another is left the next message sounds normal. We have tried an offline verification and that did not improve the situation. The Nupoint server and the 3300 which hosts the ports have been rebooted and the issue persists. Below is the configuration report, this is running Nupoint 14. Any thoughts or suggestions on what to check?

Thanks in advance!

I expect you will find that it is always port 1 that has the issue

There was a known issue and a patch around your SW level.

kwbMitel, Thanks for the quick reply!

I am not too familiar with the Nupoint command line. How can I confirm it is indeed port 1? Is it safe to assume that disabling (removing it from the line group) that port will provide a temporary fix until the system is patched? Will try it in the morning and update.

Thanks!

From the Nupoint Text Menu

M - Mailbox Maintenance
E? - Mailbox Dump

The messages will show up at the bottom along with the port that took the call.

I had your issue about 2 years back, it was always port 1.

Quick update.
I removed port 1 - 0:0 from the voicemail line group and the problem persisted. I added it back and tried several different combinations. In the end what seems to have fixed it (at least for now) was removing the second extension (0:1) from the voicemail hunt group on the 3300. Have done testing and all new messages are ok. Will continue to monitor.

Thanks again.

Could have been port 2, it was 2 years ago that I ran into it.
