Number of cpus on the server

I would like to know how many cpus run on this server. I ran the following -

So, I'm not clear on the number of cpus on this server...

Assuming 6 x 4 still = 24.

Thank you Chris. Can't we read it the other way around, meaning 24 (processors)/6 (cpu cores)= 4 (cpus)?

Interesting, the SA said - "Two physical cpus with 6 cores, each which has 2 threads."

Can you find this information from the output of /proc/cpuinfo?

You could also do

dmidecode --type 4

this will list out all the physicall processes, tell how many cores each has and how many of those cores are enabled and a bunch of other info.
See output below. Note that only 1 cpu is shown below. If you have multiple CPUs, the information for each will be shown.
