I have three extensions say 1111 2222 and 3333. 1111 is the main number and is shared with 2222 and 3333 via multiline set key assignment. Currently 1111 (5330) is not responding. If i shut it down i still cant press any key except left or right page to scroll through different mutltiline keys. 2222 (5330) is also a multiline extension on 1111 and it is illuminated as if someone was on phone. I cant get 2222 off the phone on extension 1111. I cant delete this extensions as it say line in use. I cant delete the multiline set key assignemnt 2222 that is on 1111 as it says line is in use Help!!!!!!!

1. What happens if you manually reset (unplug and plug back in) 1111?
2. What is the output when you issue Maintenance Command "locate feature extension 2222"?

Manually reset does not work stays busy

Okay, so do a "locate feature" on both sets. What does it say?

Extension : 1111
Active Features :
Phone Lock: UnLocked
MAC Address : 08:00:0F:49:8B:C7

Also, what system and software release? I'm assuming it's a 3300 of some sort...

I expect 1111 is in a forward always state and the system option for Show Busy on Forward Active is set to Yes

Locate Feature should have told you if the set was forwarded, but just in case, change the COS of the set to a COS that has the forwarding options set for "no", and give it another try.

changed cos and still have no response from phone (light 2222) on 1111 is still blinking

yeah i had a tech look at this and found it weird locate feature did not come up with anything

What does the state command say about 1111?

Nothing that I know of other than forwarding will make a multiline show busy when it's not

Hotdesking?

IP Device ID: 193
Circuit Location : 1 3 4 6
Extension : 1111
Active Features :
Message Waiting Lamp On
Callback Messages : 1
Phone Lock: UnLocked
MAC Address : 08:00:0F:49:8B:C7

The callback message is why the system says the line is in use, you can't delete a DN that has an active callback message or dialed message waiting against it. Doesn't explain why the line itself is showing busy, though.
