Hello everyone!

I have a client with a NS700 system with a number of cordless and VoIP desk phones. One user would like to be able to "hit a button" and have his extension forwarded to his cell phone. And then be able to hit the button again to disable the feature. I've poked around with the DND/FWD button, but not sure I can do it with that. I also toyed with the idea of programming a button to dial the string (something like *72915301234567) but you don't seem to be able to enter the special code in a speed dial button.

Does anyone has a "here is how we did it" epiphany way to have it be simple? The user isn't dumb, but if I tell them to dial 13 digits to turn it on, and then some digits to turn it back off, they just won't use it.

Thanks!

One touch is the easiest way

Code is *7102 (9 for line or whatever is system access code)( phone number)#

You can set a button for fwd extension and this will toddle on and off

Hello obtsystems,

How do I program a button to do the forward? It seems like when I go to program the button, it won't accept the *. I'm assuming I'm just setting a speed dial? or do I setup a function? I'm not that familiar with the system. I've setup a lot of Avaya/ATT systems, and LOTS of VoIP systems from many vendors. Just not very many Panasonic systems.

Thank you!

on the web interface console, go to the user and make the button a One-Touch button, in the dial field enter the *71029mobilenumber# apply then save.

Program buttons, then press the key to be programmed. Press 2 then code and store

Or as mentioned above through the console

Ahhh... Okay, One Touch was probably where I was screwing up before.

Thank you so much!!! I have another question on this forum that if someone can look at I'd appreciate it. It's at but basically when you dial a 9, I believe the system used to grab an outside line, which would show on one of the line buttons, and you could dial. Right now it won't. So forwarding/outcalling from VM, etc doesn't work. If you pickup phone, and get intercom tone, then dial 9 you get dial tone, then dial anything, it basically goes fast busy. I don't even know where to start. Happy to update other question to keep it on point, and this one on this feature.

Many thanks!!!
