Not getting any messages on any TTYs

I have an Option 82c and for some reason we have stopped getting any messages to show up on the TTY. We get no alarms, no SCH messages, no any thing. All we get is the intra cont and the interloop test messages from the midnight routines.

Right before this started happening we had a fan go out in one of the groups and it was flooding error codes into the system nonstop for about an hour. Then after that, there was nothing else.

I forgot to mention if I try to look up an error code by doing the err err0250, it doesn't output anything for that either.

Go into LD 37
stat TTY
reenable the disabled TTY for that port

I have already tried disabling and enabling all of the ttys. That doesn't seem to be the problem.

I can still go in and make changes and whatever, its just that none of the ttys will output any messages.

sometimes outing and rebuilding the tty works better

Its not just one tty, it is all of them, to include two PTYs and straight off the core.

Have you checked the configuration, LD 22,
PRT
TYPE (ADAN)
to see if the TTY has those options turned on ?
USER (MTC) (SCH) (BUG) ect.

Yes, all the messages are turned on. I was getting them all before and we didn't do any changes, they just stopped after we started getting all of the errors from the fan alarm.

how can you check tty's if they are all dead, or config..

They aren't dead, I am just not recieving any of the user messages. I can still use all of the ttys.

And I was going to use ini as the last resort, I work on a Marine Corps base and they get a little upset if the phones are down. So I was hoping that maybe someone has seen this before and they knew another way to fix it.

Is your system swapping processors every night?
If yes, I would INI the system, Of course this depends on what your allowed to do, if not, I would be contacting a Vendor/Nortel ETAS

Check in LD 22 PARM settings ERRM see below. ERR, BUG and AUD should appear next to prompt ERRM.

I think I just found out what the problem is. Our cmdu on the inactive side is oos. The HDD failed and it didn't tell us, even though when you stat the health in 135 it says they are redundant, they aren't. They haven't been switching at night.

So I called in a ticket. But thanks everyone for your ideas.
