nortel door phone 3

I know i have done it before but it has been awhile.

Nortel door controller is programmed to ring to one phone, but the customer wants it to ring to a hunt group. I am not onsite yet but wanted to refresh my memory before i head out.

How do i assign to ring this hunt group

I would just make the Hunt Group extention be an answer DN of the doorphone Ext. Then whenever the door phone is pressed it should ring the members of the HG.

Feature 9*4 will get you into doorphone programming if you want to change any of those parameters.

If you put the door phone and group of phones in the same page zone you have a choice of 5 door chimes to choose from as well.

UPDATE

so it was an 8x24 and no hunt groups so i assigned answer dns.

this was not my job i came in as an outside consultant to basically a cabling guy who is installing the 8x24 with a doorphone

i programmed the doorphone correctly it now rings where it needs to but there is an odd problem.

When you press the door phone button and someone picks up the handset...you can hear the person talking on the handset outside the door from the doorphone...but the person on the handset cannot hear the person outside talking into the doorphone.

any ideas?

Did you assign a Handsfree button to the doorphone extension?
