Nortel Compatibility Matrix lies

I think the Nortel Compatibility Matrix should be changed to the
Nortel-Stuff-We-Want-to-Force-You-to-Upgrade-to-by-Pretending-that-It's-Not-Compatible-Matrix.

I have been realizing more and more that I can't believe anything the compatibility matrix says.

7.0 only compatable with CP 3.0...bull

Gateway only compatible down to 3.0 software....not true

Flash 1.7 not compatible with 4.0 and newer software...this is the only one I have found to be true

Dont just look at the lies ...there are truths as well.

When they say it's not compatible that don't always mean that it just don't work with something. Take the 7.0 and 3.0 for example a 2.1 CP will come up (most of the time) on 7.0 software but more often than not you'll run into headaches with it not functioning correctly.

So true i have a mics 3.0 with a call pilot 3.0 works fine.....

You may be right, Senks and Hawk, but I've got a few CP 2.0s and 2.1s behind MICS that were upgraded to 7.0 and so far (knock on wood) they work just fine.

crowtalks are any of those doing Centralized AA because that is where I have found one of the issues.

No, I haven't set any up with centralized AA or voicemail with the old/new software combinations.

I have centralized VM setups, but they are BCM - BCM scenarios or BCM - MICS with the BCM as host.

Thanks for the heads up about the potential problems.
