My site has an old option 11 and a new avaya definity. Our phone vendor charges us $95 each time we migrate someone off of the nortel and on to the Avaya. Does anyone else know how to do this?
You could do the integration a bit faster and get charged for a day or so
Ofcourse you need to pay $95
Someone needs to get there or login remote and do some work
An hour is gone before you know
You better spend some money at once and get it done

You're absolutely right. I should be held hostage for $95 each time I want to take advantage of something I've spent thousands of dollars for in the first place.
The alternative is to learn how to administer the AVAYA system yourself, then you won't need anyone to migrate your users. tlpeter is suggesting you do the migration in larger batches, as I am sure if you did a department at a time, they would not charge you $95 for each user. They are probably charging based on the time it takes, it will take less time if they are doing a larger group of users.
