About two months ago we noticed that one of our dial-up systems was dropping out after about 5 to 10 minutes. we tested the system on a POTS line not running through our switch and it worked fine. About 6 months ago we changed our two DID PRI's to different loops. The clock controller is physically connected to the old loops and when i do ssck 1 it shows PREF and SREF as the old loops. My question is do i need to move the connections and PREF/SREF to the new loops?

Absolutely, you need to physically move the cables as well as change the programming to reference the new loops.

Will moving the cables and changing the PREF/SREF affect call processing? I have the new t1s on two seperate PRI cards so would I take two of the line cord connections to one and two to the other? Thanks for all the help

It would appear to me that you aren't clocking off of anything right now so no, it shouldn't affect Call Processing. There will be a a Port 0 and a Port 1 CLK 0 and CLK 1 connection on each NT5D12 card. Port 0 is the even loop and port 1 is the odd loop. You take CLK 0 cable to Clock 0 either PREF or SREF port and then do the same for Clock 1. You should be able to trace the cables already in place and get a good understanding on how they wire.

I believe i have the physical side hooked up correctly. Can you help me with changing the PREF/SREF? Thanks

Go to LD 73 and do a PRT of the DDB.
Then CHG of DDB to PREF/SREF to the new loops you want to clock from.

Great. Thank you. Will i have to do a sync of some sort to get the timing to be correct?

No sync required. You may have to do a trck pck in LD 60

Thank you. The clock controller now looks correct. I have some people testing their system now to see if the clock controller was the problem. I would think it was. Have a good weekend.

If you type the command ssck 0 or ssck 1 in LD 60 it will show you if it's tracking or not.
