While it seams that I get some intresting jobs!!!
Senerio:
Calls come into a small trading floor.
Ringdown Circuits once went through MICS now go dirrectly to IQMX Turret (VoIP IPC Product)but that is not the problem.
::::Calls come into MICS 4.1XC wi6.15 via PRI
:::All Traders and Office Support Staff have DID's
::The Traders get there DID's sent throught the IQMX Turret by going through ASM mod. This will not allow the caller ID to pass through.
:IPC requires an E1 interface to recieve the CLID.
***I Know that a software upgrade on MICS and NAM and I could set up a private SL-1 network (but that is PRI not E1)
I have done it before with Networking 2 systems with Centralized VM...But the question is will the Norstar recognize the IQMX Turret as a system and is there any way that the norstar can send a European Signal (or can I use a T1 to E1 converter) with out screwing up the Bidirrectional PRI that allready exist.

Thanks

P.S. IPC does not know if this can work...at this point nor do I.

Would a C-8 bridged between the ASM send the CLID ???
I know that this sounds strange but I'm willing to try anything.
Thanks

dont think asm carries the caller info...what does your vendor say

luv2ski It is a stand alone system.

Here is some Customer History:

they used to have Ringdown & Loop trunks
they all would come through the norstar (8x24 DR5 w/mini)
the traders would have M7324's + 2 CAP's for all the lines
the rest of the company (eg. support and admin staff) have M7310's for there lines.
Everybody had a private analog DID and the traders also had a public "Backdoor" DID.

Then They Upgraded the Norstar a couple of years agoto:
MICS 4.1XC wi6.15 w/ NAM and PRI all sets and trunking remained the same except the DID's came in via The PRI (the ringdown's stayed the same). They went to PRI for CLID on the DID's.

Now (a couple of months ago) they have the DID's comming in via the PRI; through the Norstar to ASM's to the IQMX Turret. offcourse now the CLID does not work...and they want it bad (after spending alllllllllll of this money)
They went with the IQMX Turret because of its networking and video ablilities( the voice was a bonus but CLID was never brought up in the planning, it was assumed that with the VoIP it would work...but for the inbound calls they don't use it...only outbound long distance)all voice inbound calls come from the PRI (on the Norstar) except for the ringdown's they where removed from the Norstar and put dirrectly on the IQMX Turret.

IPC said that they can get it working with a M-1 but have never tried it with a norstar and have not heard of a norstar Networking 2 systems with Centralized VM.. so they probably don't know of any of the New norstar abilities.
so if they can get it working with a M1 and now a Norstar can network with a M1 and they sell norstars in europe with E1 capabilities then this in theory should work (some how)
***I know that the CLID is not passed through a T1/E1 and only through a PRI/Euro Equiv. so there must be something in programming / keycode that enables this.

thanks again, hopefully this abundance of info can clear a path for some genius.
