Access between a Norstar MICS and Alcatel

I have a need for my Norstar MICS to dial extensions on a Alcatel and vise versa.

I was going to use a LS/DS card and set up a code to hit the Alcatel, no problem.

I'm looking for the easiest way to setup to Alcatel to hit the Nortel extensions. Would this be with an analog station module ? or does someone have a tip ??

thanks..

Are these systems in the same building or are you going through telco? You might be able to use Auto answer lines, or E&M, but we need more info. first.

Not going through Telco. Yes, same building, also...

Your post may be out of my league because I know nothing about the Alcatal. Will it support T-1,and or E&M trunks? How many voice paths do you need between the 2 systems?
I use a couple of ATAs hitting my LS trunks (Auto Answer) to tie 2 Norstars, (1 MICS & 1 CICS) together in my home. The only problem with using ATAs is no Disconnect Supervision, so the connection takes a couple of seconds longer to drop.
Hopefully that will give you some ideas.

No Alactel knowledge here either, really, but no T-1 or E&M available. 4 paths will do fine...

thanks...

sounds like you are stuck with analog then. If the Alectel has analog ports that you can use, hit loop start ports on the Norstar with them. If you want them to auto answer, you will still need an E&M cart to provide DTMF receivers for the auto answer. Never seen an Alectel, so still don't know what all you can do with it. Fun stuff.
