I would like to install nine-door phone on a BCM. Is this possible?

Yes you can install 9 doorphones on the BCM. You don't mention which version (I'll assume that it's a 3.6). according to the documents, up to 250 can added on a BCM.

One key note is that the old style doorphones will NOT work on the BCM. They have to be BST doorphones in order to be compatible with the BCM 3.6. So if you have a customer who has the old doorphones (say on a MICS) and are looking to upgrade to BCM, you will need to switch out the old doorphones with BST doorphones in order to work.

And just one more note, always reboot the BCM when adding doorphones, as this will allow them to function and be recognized by the BCM.

My question is this, if you can attach up to 4 doorphones to your system, why is it only 4, if you have a 3x8 KSU shouldnt you be able to use up to 8 ? So given that, and reading the manual for a doorphone, it says to plug it in to one of the DN's of the KSU. Well if you have all 8 lines occupied by phones, does that mean you cant use the doorphone without disconnecting one of the lines, or can you twin one of the DN's.

Any help would be appreciated.

Redtape, no, you cannot "twin" a doorphone to an existing phone port. It needs its own port.
