Is transferrring an external call to an external # as simple as using the conference/transfer button?

Does line supervision come into play?

just beware I have had several ports get locked up with offsite transfers such as this. I have all but stopped allowing people the abaility to transfer offsite them self. It does not happen all the time but every now and then it does and it is a pain in the butt to trouble shoot when just one line in a pool is locked up.

and if for some reason it is on a T1 card the only way to realse it is to down the card and bring it back up wich brings unwanted down time.

So i guess I am just offering a bit of caution before allowin people the feel will of offsite transfering
