Nortel 61C system, no users get any kind of VM indication anymore. This includes LPA and stutter tone. Call Piplot is sending the signal to the Mgate card, but the switch isn't sending a signal to the phones...

I would test using a mik and mck key. Press mik and then dial ext. The light should come on. Repeat with the mck key and the light should go out.
If your sure the CP is ok then you might want to ini the switch at end of day. If not reboot the vmail.

Ya, Good idea, I did that using my M3904 and the lamp came on and off as normal. I know the CP is working as it is the same server for 4 of my other switches and they are fine... although could be a channel I suppose from the server to said switch... MMM As well, this fault didn't occur until after we did an ini.

You have 4 switchs being driven by 1 x CP?

IF your Cp is direct connected to one of the other switches, then I assume that you have some form of digital tie between the 2. That being the case, have you got MWI at both ends in the RCAP of the D Ch????

could be the power supply that powers the mgate.. could be a bad mgate.. since it happen post ini.. disc reseat and enlc...

does the switch see the lamp as enabled... ld 80 trac x x x x will show if the switch has the lamp active and your missing something on the power bus
