problem: i have a 81c 3.0 -latest DEPT list - with 5 network groups w/ FIJI's. On groups 1 and 5 I have no talk path on Utrk cards. its doesnt matter if they are programmed as COT or RAN. no talk path on any Meridian set I call or test from. If I use a ButtSet on the TNs I hear the RANS and I can hear me start dial tone on the COTs but i dont hear anything through the handset of the Meridian phone and I can't break dial tone.

What I've done: I tried both EXUT and XUT cards. Ive moved the card slots. Ive tried different vintages. Tested all the CNI cables and swaped cores. reloaded the FIJI cards and ran on both rings in full mode. and reset the clock cards. I move the problem rans and COTs to known working loops and all is well. Also when accessing the RANs via access codes the trunk card answers and releases the call. example: 5 sec ran recordind, I can see the clock timer on the phone start, and 5 secs later the call is released. I havent yet changed the A,B,C,D,E cables on the back of the network shelves. i just cant believe i have that prob with those cables on 2 shelves.
Any thoughts. I have none!

Dan.

BTW, MUS trunks work GREAT!

i've had a simular problem with a cocked d cable// a single bent pin caused one group to have one way problems..

when i power down, to replace the A,B,C,D,E cables I'll get in there w/ a flash light and check the pins on the network group and CPU CNI cables. thanks for the idea.
